Born to Keesha and Andre Reynolds on July 25, 2000, Daylon came into the world as the oldest child, first son, grandson, and nephew in the family — a role he proudly carried long before his three younger siblings, Haylei, Niayla, and Cayleb, joined the crew. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, Daylon was known for being adventurous, outgoing, and just enough of a risk taker to keep life interesting. Whether he was outside with friends or competing in sports, he always stayed active, but basketball quickly became his first love. Most weekends were spent on the court, where his competitive spirit and determination began to shine.

Daylon attended Mallard Creek High School, where he graduated from the engineering program with big dreams and an even bigger future ahead of him. After graduation, he committed to what he proudly considers one of the greatest HBCUs in the country, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Little did he know, that decision would completely change his life forever.

Like many students during the COVID-19 pandemic, Daylon had to adjust to hybrid learning and eventually transition back home to Charlotte. With a little extra time on his hands during winter break, he decided to send a direct message to a freshman Social Work student named Lauryn and unknowingly made one of the best decisions of his life. What started as simple conversations quickly turned into late-night talks, endless laughter, and eventually a love story neither of them could have imagined.

Daylon also proudly became the first in his family to attend what many jokingly called the “rival” HBCU, since much of his family attended North Carolina Central University. Despite the friendly family rivalry, he carved out his own path while building lifelong friendships, memories, and purpose at A&T.

With strong family roots in Baltimore, Maryland, from his father’s side, Daylon grew up loving all things Baltimore — especially the Baltimore Ravens. Whether cheering them on from home or attending games in person, being a Ravens fan has always been part of who he is.

As the years passed, Daylon became much more than Lauryn’s boyfriend — he became her safe place, biggest supporter, prayer partner, and best friend. Through college stress, leadership roles, graduate school, career goals, and every life transition in between, he remained steady, loving, and committed. On March 14, 2026, Daylon officially turned their love story into forever when he got down on one knee and asked Lauryn to marry him.

From basketball courts and engineering classes to late-night FaceTimes and building a future together, Daylon’s story is one rooted in faith, family, perseverance, and love and he cannot wait to spend forever with his best friend.
